He tries to convince them otherwise by showing them his new 13-person toboggan, saying he was hoping they could all ride it down the big hill at Tall Timbers Park together; unfortunately, the sled is broken, and there's no snow expected to fall in Royal Woods this year. Two days before Christmas, everyone in the Loud House is once again preparing for the festivities. A delivery truck arrives to bring a special holiday present that Lincoln has ordered for the whole family - a giant toboggan big enough for thirteen people. As the family is sitting down to breakfast, Rita gets a phone call; it's Lori, calling from Fairway University. Lori tells her parents and siblings that she is unfortunately not going to come home for Christmas, since she has exams and a tournament coming up and figures it would be too much of a hassle to drive home and back in so few days, much to Lincoln's dismay. Luna then mentions that she's been invited to go skiing with her girlfriend Sam and her family, and Luan is hosting a comedy gig at the Sunset Canyon retirement home. Rita and Lynn Sr. then decide that, since three of their daughters are going to be away, they and the rest of the kids should take a trip to Miami, Florida.

When this special was announced, it was also confirmed that a second season of The Casagrandes has been greenlit. Of the main cast, Dora Dolphin, Morgan McGill, Charlotte Ann Tucker, Lainey Jane Knowles, and Muretta Moss didn’t reprise their roles for The Really Loud House. As Rita goes to pick up a stranded Lori and Bobby, Lincoln tries to call Katherine Mulligan and tell her that the creature isn't real, but she believes that he's pranking her. So, he and Clyde pilot the Sharkodile down Franklin Avenue where they drag some of the Loud House's decorations. They crash it into Royal Woods Mall just as the Louds, the McBrides, Rip, and Katherine catch up while Pop-Pop is among those seeing it on the news. Lincoln confesses the truth to everyone that he didn't want his family to be apart on Christmas.

It's the holiday season in Royal Woods, and everyone is getting themselves ready for the festivities ("Loud Christmas"). At the Loud House, Lincoln explains to the viewers that he just bought a special gift for his entire family. Exiting the house, a delivery truck arrives, and the driver, Bill, gives Lincoln his package. While mentioning that he has 300 hours of community service for the Sharkodile incident, Lincoln also mentions that Luna and Sam have their skiing trip back on, Luan's gig is reinstated by Pop-Pop, Lori will be taken back to Fairway University, and the rest of the family will be heading to Miami.

Kenya's film and classification board (KFCB) has called for the suspension of several US-produced children's programs running on channels provided by TV company MultiChoice. The board said the cartoons featured "disturbing content glorifying homosexual behavior" which was not suitable for children. Lincoln goes into the woods, and along with Clyde, takes their sharkodile prop (which is controlled by Clyde's dads' tandem bike) to show it to Katherine at the mall.

Lincoln Loud is the only boy and the middle child in a family of eleven children residing in the fictional town of Royal Woods, Michigan. He has ten sisters with distinctive personalities consisting of bossy eldest child Lori, ditzy fashionista Leni, musician Luna, comedian Luan, athletic Lynn Jr., gloomy poetic goth Lucy, polar opposite twins Lana and Lola, child genius Lisa, and baby Lily. Lincoln occasionally breaks the fourth wall to explain to the viewers the chaotic conditions and sibling relationships of the household, and continually devises plans to make his life in the Loud House better. Among the cast, Brian Stepanek (Lynn Sr.), Catherine Taber (Katherine Mulligan), and Jeff Bennett (Mick Swagger) reprised their respective roles from the animated series, with Bennett only reprising his role through audio recordings. Jahzir Bruno would also become Clyde's official voice in the cartoon (replacing Andre Robinson) starting in its sixth season, which began airing the following year.

When the sisters see the "sharkodile" passing through their yard, Lisa begins to chase after it, wanting to capture the creature and study it for science. Lynn Sr., having gotten over the effects of the sharkodile tranquilizer, proceeds to give chase as well. The series premiered on May 15, 2016, in the Middle East and North Africa on Nickelodeon, dubbed in Gulf Arabic. Production for Nickelodeon is overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, Co-Heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. A Loud House Christmas will also feature additional fan-favorite characters from the animated The Loud House series.
Meanwhile, Bobby's moped runs out of gas, leaving him and Lori stranded 20 miles away from Royal Woods. At the Loud House, Lincoln and Clyde get to work on trying to get Lori, Luna and Luan to stay with their family. First, Lincoln tells Clyde that they need to make Lori homesick so that she will force herself to come home, and they proceed to do that having a box of Lynn Sr.'s figgy pudding delivered to her dorm overnight. Second, Lincoln and Clyde use audio from Mick Swagger's autobiography to doctor an announcement on Luna's phone that he'll be performing in Royal Woods, and Luna, not wanting to miss this opportunity, tells Sam that she's changing her mind on going skiing with her and will go on another day, much to the latter's dismay.
Let's Rock With Luna Loud!
Back at Lori and Bobby, who are traveling down a freezing cold road, Bobby realizes that the moped has ran out of gas, and the two come to a complete stop. As Clyde gets his wishlist ready, his gets a call from Lincoln over his walkie-talkie, and excuses himself to talk to him. Upon answering, Lincoln reveals that his Christmas plans are ruined because Lori isn't coming home, Luna is going skiing with Sam, Luan is going to be telling jokes at Sunset Canyon, while he and the remaining family are going to Miami. Shocked about this, he agrees to help with Lincoln's plan on sabotaging their plans so that they can spend the holiday together.

His family forgives him with his parents admitting that no Christmas tradition can be broken. Although understanding where he's coming from, Lynn Sr. tells his son that in their current situation, they need to try and make the most of what they can. In a last-ditch effort to appeal to his family, he reveals that the package he got earlier was a 13-person toboggan so they can slide down the hill at Tall Timbers Park together. Because of that, along with the fact that there's no snow, the family tells him that they can fulfill those plans next year, and make it official that they're going to Miami this Christmas. The next morning, the Loud family is opening their presents, while Lincoln explains the aftermath for the viewers.

Eventually, after Lincoln crashes the "sharkodile" into Santa's meet-and-greet area, the other members of the Loud family arrive just in time to see Lincoln climbing out of the prop. Lincoln finally confesses to his family that he created the sharkodile hoax and sabotaged his sisters' Christmas plans, admitting that he was afraid they were all growing apart. Knowing that his intentions weren't malicious, Lincoln's family forgives him, and Katherine Mulligan declares that the tree-lighting ceremony is back on. Eventually, after Lincoln crashes the "sharkodile" into Santa's meet-and-greet area, the other members of the Loud family, Rip, Katherine and the McBrides arrive just in time to see Lincoln climbing out of the prop. The success of the film caused Nickelodeon to make it the Pilot Movie for The Really Loud House, a live-action series that premiered on November 2022 with most of the film's leads reprising their roles. The series was then extended into another season, with a live-action Halloween special, A Really Haunted Loud House, released September 28, 2023.
The series has also been nominated for Favorite Cartoon at the Kids' Choice Awards every year since 2017. Nickelodeon and its YouTube channel have done a series of podcasts called Listen Out Loud, where each member of the Loud family does a podcast revolving around their topics. It's wasn't immediately clear if the supposedly offending Nickelodeon episodes ever aired in Kenya. Viacom Africa, which licenses the Nickelodeon shows said last July it would not be airing such shows in South Africa and the rest of sub Saharan Africa.
The family accepts her decision to stay, but Lincoln protests, saying that without her, Christmas won't feel the same. Suddenly, Luna and Luan, inspired by Lori announcing her plans, reveal that they too have made plans for the holiday; Luna is going skiing with Sam, and Luan will be hosting a comedy gig at Sunset Canyon. As the family continues to support their decisions, Lincoln gets upset, and his moment of unhappiness causes him to accidentally launch Rita's phone into a jug of orange juice, prompting Rita to hold a family meeting. Savino based the series on his own experiences growing up in a large family.[8] Early in development, the Loud family was going to be composed of rabbits, but this was terminated when an executive, Jenna Boyd, asked Savino to make them human.[9][10] The idea of the Loud family being rabbits became used as Lincoln's dream in the Season 3 episode "White Hare". Lincoln and Clyde bring the "sharkodile" to the parking lot of the Royal Woods Mall, but can't stop with Rip still chasing after them. They end up driving the prop all the way inside the mall and cause a lot of property damage in the process, during which Lincoln stops to let Clyde get out and read his wish list to Santa.
