It’s said that industrialist and eventual owner Griffith J. Griffith donated the property to the city to rid himself of the tainted land (the ostriches on his ostrich farm there apparently stampeded at night). The land is supposedly haunted by Don Antonio Feliz, Dona Petronilla, Griffith J. Griffith, a young girl, and several others, as well as some kind of humanoid beast. Evelyn gives Steven a guest list two pages long; he shreds it to spite her and then creates one of his own. Despite this, Price continues the party's theme, offering $1 million to each one who stays in the house and survives until morning, with any person not making it having his money added to the pot.

It’s always fun to imagine living inside of an iconic horror movie house, which is why we always like to report on such locations going up for grabs. The latest, brought to our attention by Variety, is the mansion from William Castle’s original House on Haunted Hill, which was actually also featured in Blade Runner. House on Haunted Hill was the first film produced by American production company Dark Castle Entertainment. Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis had discussed remaking William Castle's 1959 film as early as 1997. Director William Malone was a fan of the original film, which he had seen in his childhood, which served as the impetus for his directing. Malone and producer Dick Beebe worked on the film's screenplay for a year and a half.

Price, protected by a bulletproof vest and posing as dead, attacks Evelyn. As they scuffle, Evelyn is thrown through a decaying door, revealing the evil entity of the house – The Darkness. Evelyn seemingly dies in front of the others, strapped to an electroshock therapy table. Price pulls a gun on the guests, demanding to know who killed his wife.

Through visions the ghosts showed her, Ariel realized that the group needed to remove the Baphomet Idol to escape. Having been told by Ariel's visions where the Baphomet Idol was, Ariel, Paul and Hammer were able to make their way into the Heart of the House, where they found the Idol. Ariel removed it and took it to the asylum's washrooms to throw it down a drain and expel it from the house. The Silent Movie Theatre is said to be haunted by the ghosts of its first two owners.
